The Courage Center’s Annual Day in May Luncheon Featuring Ryan Leaf

On Thursday, May 29th, The Courage Center invites you to be part of something powerful: A Day in May, a fundraising luncheon dedicated to celebrating recovery, breaking the stigma of addiction, and raising critical funds to support individuals and families on their journey toward healing.

Hosted at the Founders Zone at Williams-Brice Stadium from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, this event brings the Columbia community together to champion change and reinforce that recovery is not only possible—it’s worth celebrating.

Featuring Special Guest: Ryan Leaf
We’re honored to welcome Ryan Leaf, former NFL quarterback turned recovery advocate, as our keynote speaker. After a very public struggle with substance use disorder and incarceration, Ryan has transformed his life and now uses his platform to help others seek the support they need. With over a decade in recovery, Ryan brings his story of resilience and hope to the stage—reminding us all that no one is too far gone to begin again.

Why This Event Matters
Substance use disorder impacts individuals, families, and communities—but so does recovery. The Courage Center exists to provide free, stigma-breaking peer recovery support services to those seeking a new path forward. By attending this luncheon, you’re not just learning about our mission—you’re helping fund it.
